Ten years of innovation at the Paul Ricard circuit
In February 20002, after a great modernisation work period, the south of France based circuit Paul Ricard becomes a ‘High Tech Test Track’ as it was called from then on. It is first dedicated to Formula 1 test sessions.
For the last ten years, the Paul Ricard circuit never stopped to go ahead and offer to car manufacturers, opportunities to present their new models and series to clients and customers or to the international media. They were given the professionalism of a whole team and many different infrastructures to their launches such as the Mistral Hall, the Grand Prix Hall, the Paul Ricard Go Kart track or the Dynamic Driving Centre.
2012- A place reopened to spectators and racing
Ten years later, the Paul Ricard circuit has reopened its doors to racing and to spectators.
For the last three years, the event calendar has been changing and getting greater every season. 2012 will be the year for new rendez-vous that we have not experienced so far. Spectators will be the witnesses of the first motorcycle official racing on the now famous blue and red stripped track, in April and in August. At the end of July, the connoisseurs will rediscover pop rock music on the Castellet Plateau, and by the end of the season, the ‘2 Tours d’Horloge’ historic car 24 hour-race will celebrate it’s 20est anniversary…
In addition, 2012 will also be the year to get familiar with specific makes… The Mini United Festival will gather all the mini fans of France and Europe (first time in France), Renault has chosen the Paul Ricard circuit again this year to welcome and invite all the fans of the 2012 World Series by Renault.
